CGA to work again with Sofitel London St James

Date: 21-05-2019

CGA Integration are delighted to announce that they will again be working with Sofitel London St James on their new restaurant ‘Wild Honey St James,’ which will open on the former site of The Balcon, where CGA designed and installed the sound system eight years ago.

Located on the corner of Pall Mall and Waterloo Place, the new restaurant is scheduled to open in late May 2019 following a design transformation by Jim Hamilton Design. The former restaurant ‘The Balcon’ opened in 2011, replacing Brasserie Roux run by Albert Roux.

Head chef Simon Woodrow will collaborate with Anthony Demetre on menus which will continue the contemporary French cooking, with nods to the British Isle, for which Wild Honey became well known. Woodrow previously worked at Wild Honey, as well as at the Dairy and Paradise Garage with Robin Gill, and Arbutus, the Michelin-starred restaurant Demetre opened in Soho with Smith and closed in 2016.

Chris Gunton Managing Director of CGA integration commented “ This project demonstrates the benefits of a well planned AV design; how taking the time to get it right first time can save money in the long run as well as being more environmentally sound.  Because we carefully designed and installed the sound system at ‘The Balcon’, 75 - 80% of the material can be reused in the new restaurant. The AV system design and wiring is still in good working order, so it just requires the bar speakers to be changed to blend with the decor of the new surroundings”.
